I found the program very insulting. When one my 6th graders finished the reading test, one of the recommended books was Clifford. The student asked me, "isn't that a children's book?" Yes, it is. Also, why do all the low-level books have large print and pictures??? Middle and high school students, who are already sensitive about not reading well, do not need books the insult them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3170350655910781716.post-83554638141853186182009-11-05T20:28:51.548-05:002009-11-05T20:28:51.548-05:00teaching as a subversive act, indeed.teaching as a subversive act, indeed.Reading the Districthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11635072700180534927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3170350655910781716.post-33817528726591962212009-11-02T14:46:47.974-05:002009-11-02T14:46:47.974-05:00I'd say my administrators are extremely top-do...I'd say my administrators are extremely top-down. I'm learning to play the game. I'll show them what they want to see and do what I think is best for the kids when they're not looking.james boutinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09625944306253098621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3170350655910781716.post-38469438255757641592009-11-02T14:45:42.596-05:002009-11-02T14:45:42.596-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.james boutinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09625944306253098621noreply@blogger.com
